Punk Slime Recordings are proud to present the Manchester based lo-fi pop act The Foetals, the new project from Jolan Lewis (the frontman of The Pink Teens, fka Temple Songs, who also plays in Francis Lungʼs (ex WU LYF) band as well as Aldous RH). Meet The Foetals was recorded by Jolan himself in two days at his own small studio in the outskirts of Manchester, trying to find a middle ground between perfect 60's pop records and the inept DIY sound of American private press LPs - think The Bachs and The Patron Saints playing Paul McCartney covers. The Foetals have been praised by the likes of Stereogum, Noisey, NME, DIY, BEAT, KEXP and Appleʼs Beats 1. Following Jolanʼs recent health issues, as a small sign of support, PNKSLM Recordings will be donating the label's share of the profits from the vinyl edition of Meet The Foetals to Cancer Research UK.
