New release date: orig orders kept, but hey, if you like any of the SST styled guitar shred from the 80s, then this brew is for you...totally too cool....Were you one of those kids who was distraught after discovering Black Flag was more influenced by ZZ Top and The Grateful Dead than The MC5 or Stooges? Well, you might wanna strap on a stronger carabiner before scaling these cliffs because you're more likely to discover pop gems than a stoned mystic in a cave. Organ is an anthem of Southern California patriotism with all the thrills of dragging in Lodi and peyote-munched soul-wandering in Silver Lake. This album is power-pop perfection, the Paisley Underground finally done right. There's a big difference between playing every instrument and being a one-man band. Suffice it to say that Adam Payne is a one-man band akin to Emitt Rhodes broadcast over solid-state transmitters. Maybe Grant Hart has the better voice while Bob Mould churned out better lyrics. What if the Kirkwoods melded into a creature that couldn't punch itself? Adam Payne, as one band, has made an LP that matches the chops and hooks of Captain Trundlow's Sky Company or the bits of The Only Ones that are consistently lifted. The rumors that Payne was asked to produce the next Mudcrutch album have yet to be confirmed. Organ opens like Up The Academy but ends like Zabriskie Point in frustrated abandon that only leaves the listener wiser.

MV & EE WITH THE GOLDEN ROAD - 'DRONE TRAILER'

Details
New release date: Original orders still held:Orbiting the earth in Vermont is Matt "MV" Valentine, once the brawn of the Tower Recordings, and Erika "EE" Elder, CEO of Heroine Celestial Agriculture and The MV & EE Medicine Show. Together with their dog Zuma, they run the Child of Microtones library of exploratory music-sometimes their own lunar blues, sometimes finger-picking-style noise/space, sometimes lonesome frontier folk. MV & EE have landed at the DiCristina Building bearing Drone Trailer, featuring The Golden Road: Doc Dunn (pedal steel, guitar, harmony), Mike Smith (bass, fender rhodes, harmony), and James Anderson (drums, engineer). You may recognize these names as part of MV & EE's touring band when they scorched across New England and the Rust Belt en route to Terrastock this past June. Drone Trailer is a consolidation of the previous musical high-life of the duo's space shanties for the 21st century. In other words, MV & EE explore their unique mix of lunar raga and astral string band music, with a couple deep-space burners/covert jams such as opening blast "Anyway" thrown in to bust it all open. Nobody is gonna mind if they hear a little Crazy Horse and prime-era Dead here as well! Highly recommended follow up to a slew of great records on Ecstatic Peace and Timelag.

"Bizarre and blistering Afro-Pop crossbred with precise and chilly New Wave," Weave!'s debut breathes new life into the sound of groups like ESG, The Slits, The Mo-Dettes, Kleenex, The Raincoats, and Delta 5. The arty grinders have a respectable pedigree; Weave!'s founders, Ivory Lee Carlson (bass, vocals) and Nicole Turley (drums, vocals), spent 2007 with pickup members from around their native Los Angeles. Weave! ultimately solidified their lineup with members of The Centimeters and Bubonic Plague (on guitar and keyboard) adding a rhythmic presence to the femme-driven fervency. They've been playing a lot around Los Angeles lately, including well attended month-long residency at The Echo. Their Self-Titled Debut is available on CD and Clear Vinyl LP. "A tambourine-ravaging set of Sonic Youth-meets- Talking Heads-tinged sounds. The local quartet definitely inject a sense of quirky fun into their hypnotic, dance-y yet vicious tunes." -Lina Lecaro, LA Weekly "Resembles a frantic yet exuberant tug-of-rope contest between George Clinton and David Byrne." -Travis Woods, webinfront.net "Extremely rhythmic and, at times, deliciously poppy their strange mix of guitars, drums, and synth retains a haunting edge." -Phil Kropoth, Flavorpill LA
