The Smoking Trees tread new ground with their second album ‘TST’, creating the double sunshine effect that comes from combining an encyclopedic knowledge of psychedelia with their West Coast hip-hop tricks and bricks. Here is a unique mission to new aural landscapes that may just land them on unchartered terrain. The group comprise of Sir Psych & L.A. Al, who have been slowly gaining more ground on ample play over the past 2 years. This is a complete album that flips the lid on album creating, so much so that they have already gained offers of work from Soko to MGMT and a former Beatle. If you spell Al’s name backwards, you get LA and that’s where he’s from and if you go to LA, you could end up in Disneyland, and that’s where the other half of this musical unit works. More important than this is the music itself……a brave new step for mankind. Skillfully blending new psychedelia with the power of hip hop and Latino upbringing. It’s a time tablet of beats and color, as Jeff Dexter has attested, and this is certainly no waste of time. The album is preceded by the double A single ‘Home In The Morning’ b/w ‘Trips’, expect to hear both tracks coming at you through radio channels in the near future. There is always dispute whether the east coast or west coast gets there first, and in this case the word on the sunny side of the street says California has it by taking to the skies.

For years we’ve been working hard to find something to release together and his second Comedy Central stand-up special, Dangerously Delicious, which was originally released in 2012, contains so many great moments (50 Cent's 1st grapefruit experience, anyone?), it just needs to be pressed into wax. Recorded at the farm of longtime member Ross Knight’s farm in Spring Plains, Victoria, it sees the band - Dean Muller (Hoss) on drums, Mad Macka (Onyas) on guitar and, of course, Ross on bass/vocals - tearing their way through 10 awesome cuts of patented ‘Psychos yobbofied punk rock. The band has seen a massive resurgence in popularity and activity in the past 5 years, with the 2013 documentary on the band, Blokes You Can Trust, playing at film festivals around the world and a constant seller on DVD. The band has their cheer squads in the likes of the Melvins, Mudhoney, Pearl Jam and L7, but most of all they have their loyal fan base, and Cum The Raw Prawn is something they’ll want.
