Out of print on vinyl for nearly ten years, this remaster was helmed by industry legend Bob Ludwig and cut by the estimable Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Utilizing crystalline-quality safety masters kept in the Zappa family vault for decades by the trustworthy Joe Travers, the audio here is positively glorious. Every last skronk breathes full life into the room. Every twisted guitar figure uncurls onto paths previously unpaved. Every last bark and howl shines resolute through the vast emptiness of your mind. Previous countless Trout Mask Replica repressings used scans of scans of scans of the cover image, but the original Cal Schenkel cover photo has been tracked down and reproduced here at its clearest — its resolution from the original release in 1969. If you’ve only ever seen a jpg online or fuzzy, smeared-looking CD issues from the 90’s, be prepared to be wowed by the fully engaging spectrum this iconic image casts. This 2xLP is pressed on heavyweight 180-gram black vinyl for that full-on frenetic feeling.

Cindy Lee is the performance and songwriting vehicle of Patrick Flegel (who previously fronted influential indie group Women). Diamond Jubilee was written and recorded over several years by Patrick Flegel in Toronto, Durham, Calgary and Montreal at Realis- tik Studios. ‘Devotion to a Noble Ideal’ is the first EP release on vinyl from The Revolutionary Army of the Infant Jesus. Part retrospective and part reimagining of their work – the EP contains 4 tracks, each produced in collaboration with a different creative partner, offering a sometimes radical reinterpretation of three previous works as well as one new piece. It is a startling body of material from the Liverpool based art house collective that, nearly 40 years since its inception, continues to evolve. Formed in Liverpool in 1985, the Revolutionary Army of the Infant Jesus is a unique experimental ensemble whose work goes beyond music. Their mesmerising recorded material is influenced by diverse cultural perspectives and stimulates a deeply personal and subjective awakening. Ethereal vocals, ambient compositions, chants, acoustic instrumentation and field recordings generate beautiful and emotionally intense soundscapes. Juan Esteban Herrera A.K.A Ruido Selecto is a musician, producer and sound engineer from Medellín - Colombia, his music has specialized in Caribbean rhythms through electronic tools. Ruido Selecto explores the “Bass of the Caribbean” where it brings together Dub, Cumbia, Champeta and rhythms of African music that have traditionally reached Colombia. Ruido has made national and international tours in Mexico and Central America and presentations in the United States and Europe. He has participated in festivals such as Altavoz, Áfricafutura and Invazion fest alternating with artists such as Mitu, Afrotronix, Guetto kumbé, Systema Solar, Alligatorz among others. In turn, he has made remixes for the Discos Fuentes label and has collaborated with artists such as Tremor, Kizaba and Xiomara Furtuna. "I'm not going to pretend like I know much about the world from which this record comes, all I know is that if I see a record with "cumbia soundsystem" on the label, I will grab it every time. Cha-cha dub style with reverb-soaked samples, organ accents and synth-fueled melodies, I'd venture to guess you don't have any records like this on your shelf. It's ok, I won't tell anybody, just grab this one and your secret is safe with me. I'm only the slightest bit fearful that this leads me down an entirely new rabbit hole, previously unexplored, that eventually leads to my financial downfall.
