The artwork had been lovingly restored by original Milkshake Bruce Brand and its also been remastered from the bands original master tapes. Original copies have been selling on e-bay for over £75! 'Nothing Can Stop These Men' was originally released in 1983 on the bands own MILKSHAKES records based in Kentish Town London. It has never been re-issued and has never appeared on CD before. This artwork has also been lovingly restored by original Milko Bruce Brand and its also been remastered from the bands original master tapes. Original copies have been selling on e-bay for over £60! They released loads of singles and albums over their time together. Damaged Goods got involved when they reformed for a tour of Japan in 1991 and released a storming 7" 'Red Hot' (DAMGOOD3).

Brief History of The Loins We formed around Christmas time l99O. I'd been fronting various line-ups of a group for ten years, but after a couple of scrapes with wanky major labels I became fed up and decided to strip it all down to an acoustic duo with our then bass player Chris (Arfur) Allen. He hadn't written before, but was a fine acoustic player with a genuine rootsy feel, stemming from his Irish upbringing. We just wanted to write honest, bare songs, outside of any particular style, just songs, whatever that means. The first thing we came up with was "Hauling In The Slack", so, that set the precedent. Now, of course,you can't operate in England without being pigeonholed, so we coined the phrase " Authentic raw folk from the Medway delta" and started playing what local pubs and clubs would have us. It was good fun, getting up people's noses. We came across some truly bigoted deadheads who thought new folk songs were an anathema; these idiots tended to be chartered accountants by day, and at the weekends whined in nasally tones about working down the mines. They really believed they were protecting sacred texts and that the whole folk genre was complete & pickled and never to be tampered with. There were also a few good souls who at least admitted they couldn't decide if what were doing was "either shit, or brilliant." At the time Billy was helping me to edit my first collection of poetry for publication on Hangman Books; he liked the songs and attitude and offered to put an LP out on Hangman records. So, as soon as they were written, we took our first dozen songs along to his house in May Road, Rochester, on the afternoon of Saturday June 2O, '9l (it says on the master tape box), had a few beers to calm the nerves, and stuck them down. Chatting in the kitchen at the time were Bruce, Kyra and Holly, so we roped them in too. Billy recorded us on a circa l96O Revox half-track - Half track means you record live into two mics which mix straight down to one mono track. Billy would set the levels as loud and trebly as they would go, turn the clunking great knob to start the tape, and dash into the bog to join in with the general stamping, bashing and singing. "Songs for the Organ" and "Steak & Gravy" were recorded like this, live in Billy's toilet (for the acoustics), with whatever guests were available, standing in the bath, kneeling on the toilet seat, the taps dripping, the phone going off in the kitchen next door; it was great! If we didn't get it by the third take then it was abandoned. It was all about feel, not perfection. By the time we came to record "Penny Plain-Tuppence Coloured" and "Clever Clogs & Big Head", we'd lost a bit of momentum – I'd moved away to do screenwriting at the National Film School, so we were only able to snatch a few weekends and holidays for writing, playing live and recording. We recorded most of the songs live at Billy's, as before, but then the tape was transferred onto multi-track at Red Studios, and guests added their bits as and when we, or they, were available. By '96 it was all done, bar the shouting. We enjoyed some great gigs in Medway, London, France, Holland, Belgium, Germany & Spain, and wrote a batch of songs I'm proud of. And then, we played a "one-off" reunion gig, l7 July 'O4, at the Tap 'n' Tin, Chatham, to launch "The Complete & Utter Singing Loins" and enjoyed it so much we decided to give it another go. We were going to bill it as two old cunts doing a Singing Loins tribute act, but once we'd put our faces on and tightened the corsets it wasn't too bad. Brod.

The Now were a band from the good old days of Punk Rock, although they were far removed from what is traditionally known as ‘Punk’. Intelligent songs, political lyrics and a musical style that was much more in keeping with bands like the Gang of 4, PragVeg and other ‘New Wave’ bands. The band are: Mike McGuire on Vocals, Steve Rolls on Guitar, Faz Farrow on Bass and Joe MacColl on Drums. They released two singles ‘Development Corporations’ on Ultimate Records in November 1977 and ‘Into The 80’s’ on Raw Records in 1979. They had split up by the end of 1979. This album was recorded during 2004 by the four original members of The Now. The track listing represents the first set list from The Now as performed in 1977. In true punk rock stylee rehearsed for 3 hours with 2 days in the studio for recording and mixing. Not bad after 27 years (some of the band not having played since then). Lead singer Mika arrived London in 1998, with only one thing on her mind - playing in a cool punk band. Recruitment for the now legendary line-up, began with the arrival in London of a teenage brat from Beijing who had everything you could want in a guitarist - Agi joined the band. Another Mika (bass) introduced an element of musicality to the bass department while a North London boy, Ergi, provided the unique hard hitting rhythms - the MIKA BOMB sound was born. Things started to pick up in 1999 when the band played what seemed like thousands of gigs at various venues around the country. The band were championed by Radio One DJ Steve Lamacq and received rave reviews across UK. In 2000, they signed as the hard-hitting new stars of Beastie Boys' label Grand Royal, MIKA BOMB stormed into the West Country plugging their singles "Super sexy razor happy girls" and "Heart Attack". Fusing Motown, New York punk, 50' Garage and Japanese pop to form their distinctive, helter-skelter, distortion-heavy pop sound, The four Japanese girls are physically tiny, but once plugged into outrageously overdriven guitars, they are more than a match for any number of sweaty punters in the audience twice their size. With the tragic (Lucky - Ed) demise of Grand Royal the album, 'The Fake Fake sound of MIKA BOMB" was released through Damaged Goods in 2001 Finally in 2005 their second album 'HellCats' has been released alongside the single 'Osaka'. Recorded at Gizzard studios in London this is more of the same Punk-Pop-Garage stuff the band are known for, it also includes a guest appearance from Holly Golightly on their cover of Holly's 'Won't Go Out'.

Holly Golightly (real name) started her musical career as a founder member of all girl garage band Thee Headcoatees, a Billy Childish / Thee Headcoats splinter group in 1991. She spent four years as a Headcoatee before breaking away to release her debut record, The Good Things, in 1995. Where the Headcoatees sound was a blend of girl group sounds and three-chord garage-rock with all the original songs coming from the pen of Billy Childish, Holly's solo sound is more a blend of pre-rock electric blues, folk rock, and less frantic rock & roll. Apart from the wide range of covers of such artists as Willie Dixon, Ike Turner, Lee Hazelwood, Wreckless Eric, and Bill Withers, Golightly also writes all her own material. Holly Golightly is definitely the most interesting and diverse artist to come out of the Billy Childish school and is certainly one of the better singer/songwriters of the post-grunge era who gets better with every album. Since her debut in 1995, Golightly has been very prolific, releasing 13 long play records and loads of singles for a wide variety of labels as well as touring America eight times as well as Australia & Europe. Holly's sound has remained remarkably consistent throughout, but each record has a quality that sets it apart from the others. In 1999 she released an album with her friend Billy Childish, on which the two sound like a scuffed-up British version of Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood. Another is 'Truly She Is None Other' probably her most successful so far, it also featured the song 'Tell Me Now So I Know' which was picked for the main title theme for Jim Jarmushs movie starring Bill Murray 'Broken Flowers'. There's also a great compilation of all her singles and E.P's called Single's Round-Up. Her latest release is the mid-price sampler 'My First Holly Golightly Album' which is a great way to sample her songs, most of which feature in her live sets. Over the years Holly has been guest vocalist on various other bands projects, including live with Mudhoney, on a couple of Green Hornes releases and on a couple of Rocket From The Crypt tracks including their hit single 'Lipstick'. After playing several west coast shows with The White Stripes, and supporting them at their some of their London shows, Holly has become good friends with Jack and Meg, recording a duet with them at Toe Rag Studios called It's true that we love one another, for the final track on their classic album 'Elephant' Holly has recently recorded a duet with Mikabomb on the track 'Won't Go Out' (a Holly song) on their new album 'Hellcats' (Damgood 241).

Oh Yes it's a Pork Dukes compilation of rare and unreleased tracks from 1976 - 1980. This collection gathers together a great selection of rarities including four previously unreleased songs from the archives. Six tracks on CD for the first time culled from the 'Pink Pork' and 'Pig Out Of Hell' albums and an ultra rare 1976 demo as well as the four tracks from the long long deleted 'Filthy Nasty' live EP that we put out on Damaged Goods back in 1989. For the uninitiated The Pork Dukes released their first single 'Bend And Flush' way back in 1977, followed by two more singles in 1978 and the album 'Pink Pork' (on Pink vinyl naturally), their second album 'Pig Out Of Hell' came out in 1980 and that was that.

The Pop Rivets, on the other hand, borrowed £300 from AKA, a friend, who had just received a year's Social Security back pay. AKA was a type of fan who hated Childish and dismissed the Pop Rivets as a bunch of art school wafters. The mystified Pop Rivets took the money anyway and set about recording the "Greatest Hits" LP in the front room of a bungalow in Herne Bay. (They had to stop recording for the engineers mother to watch the 6 o'clock news). The resulting LP was described in the NME as "The youngsters as the future of rock 'n' roll" and then nothing happened. In 1979 The Pop Rivets embarked on two self-promoted tours of Switzerland and Germany and recorded their 2nd LP - Empty Sounds From Anarchy Ranch. Two further EP's appeared in 1980 before The Pop Rivets recorded a lost John Peel session and split up. For The Pop Rivets, punk rock had gone horribly wrong. Thatcher - Milk Snatcher was in and New Romanticism was rearing its poesy old head. Far from being dead and buried it seamed that Bowie and co we're on the ascendant. But there where still many questions the boys need answers for: Why did modern studios insist on making drum kits sound like the recording of a wet cardboard box with a dead fish in it? Why could no group keep its integrity beyond one LP, or even a single 45? Why were Link Wrays 2 track recordings more vital and exciting than anything a modern 8 track studio, or 16 track studio could knock out? Did spiders really see out of all eight eyes at once? Could it be that sophistication far from enhancing creativity, destroyed it? It was time for the Pop Rivets to stifle their intellects and devolve. There were plans to record a final double LP consisting entirely of rock n roll covers recorded live on half track to be titled - The Pop Rivets Meet the Whirling Dervish and survive! They didn't. Classic 1977 band formed by journalist Giovanni Dadamo. The line up was.... Giovanni Dadamo - Vox Dave Fudger, Pete Makowski - Git Steve Lillywhite, Barry Myers - Bass Steve Nicol, Ade Lillywhite, Lou Salvoni & Nick Ratbite - Drums I always loved their single 'Terminal Stupid' that came out on Ghetto Rockers records in late 77 but I knew nothing about them, so when I started Damaged Goods it was something I wanted to unearth and possibly re-issue. I asked around and eventually someone mentioned that the main person behind the band was Giovanni Dadamo and that he worked in Records & Tape Exchange at Notting Hill, so I headed down there and eventually met him. We arranged to meet for a beer after he finished work and that's how the album came about. I showed him the Slaughter album and said I wanted to re-issue the 7" and he said did I want any other tracks, we met up at his parents house and searched through old boxes and dug up a whole load of cassettes and even an acetate or two. We then went over to Dave Goodmans house and cleaned everything up and eventually put the album together. Photo's were found at Ray Stevenson's house and we had a cover. Gio put together a mock review of the album and we were away. One thing i never knew was that the Shits did have a second release called 'isgodaman?' as Arthur Comix on the Beggars Banquet compilation 'Streets'. The reason it was under a pseudonym was because Beggars didn't want the word SHITS on the cover!! how punk!.

As we all know, The Headcoats were one of the finest rock 'n' roll bands to walk the planet. 'Headcoats Down' was their debut album and was first released on Hangman Records over 10 years ago when they were already creating their gloriously authentic garage-punk sound. 'Headcoats Down' features some of the best known and loved songs of Thee Headcoats prolific career such as 'Smile Now', 'Young Blood' and 'You're Looking Fine'. After it's first pressing in July 1989, it only remained available for about a year and has never appeared on CD before now. Highly recommended!

Ludella Black was originally in a legendary Medway garage band called The Del-Monas, after that she became a Headcoatee along with her friends Holly Golightly, Kyra Rubella and 'Bongo' Debbie. She recorded her first solo album with Mickey Hampshire (of The Milkshakes and Masonics) for Vinyl Japan. This is her second solo album, an album full of classic 60's sounding ballads and rockers. She still tours and plays with The Masonics.

The Undisputed Kings of Garage Rock! **Reissue of their classic singles compilation on triple LP with new gatefold sleeve!** A retrospective compilation of singles released on a multitude of different labels throughout the 90′s. Featured tracks are ‘(We Hate The Fuckin’) NME’ ‘My Dear Watson’ & ‘Every Bit Of Me’. A fitting tribute to one of the greatest bands ever. Thee Headcoats were mainly Billy Childish (Git/Vox) Bruce Brand (Drums) and Johnny Johnson (bass), they formed in 1989 after Billy’s previous band Thee Mighty Caesers gave up the ghost. By 1992 they had already released something like 6 albums and 15 singles one of which was catalogue number Damgood1, a split single with Thee Headcoatees. During the ’90′s I must have seen them 60 times, I even went over to Japan with them in 1993. There was something really natural about them, no bullshit. We did the ‘We hate The Fuckin’ NME’ single after journalist Johnny Cigarettes walked out of their gig in Archway after insisting that he should get in for free as he was from the NME and then reviewing Thee Headcoatees by saying there were no girls in the band (he'd left before they came onstage!!). Lots more releases followed including the great ‘In Tweed We Trust’ album. Thee Headcoats carried on touring and releasing records in every corner of the world until mid 2000 when they called it a day.

Four fiesty girls from the Medway towns, Kyra Rubella, Holly Golightly, Ludella Black and Bongo Debbie started life as mates of Thee Headcoats doing a few songs on stage and then came the great idea to do a proper album, 'Girlsville' was recorded and a great new band was born. Whenever Thee Headcoats played Thee Headcoatees also did a set, at one time it seemed like they were more popular that the boys, more albums followed and we did a few singles plus a compilation of all their singles on one nice album. They called it a day in 1999 and are now all doing various musical projects.

Holly Golightly (real name) started her musical career as a founder member of all girl garage band Thee Headcoatees, a Billy Childish / Thee Headcoats splinter group in 1991. She spent four years as a Headcoatee before breaking away to release her debut record, The Good Things, in 1995. Where the Headcoatees sound was a blend of girl group sounds and three-chord garage-rock with all the original songs coming from the pen of Billy Childish, Holly's solo sound is more a blend of pre-rock electric blues, folk rock, and less frantic rock & roll. Apart from the wide range of covers of such artists as Willie Dixon, Ike Turner, Lee Hazelwood, Wreckless Eric, and Bill Withers, Golightly also writes all her own material. Holly Golightly is definitely the most interesting and diverse artist to come out of the Billy Childish school and is certainly one of the better singer/songwriters of the post-grunge era who gets better with every album. Since her debut in 1995, Golightly has been very prolific, releasing 13 long play records and loads of singles for a wide variety of labels as well as touring America eight times as well as Australia & Europe. Holly's sound has remained remarkably consistent throughout, but each record has a quality that sets it apart from the others. In 1999 she released an album with her friend Billy Childish, on which the two sound like a scuffed-up British version of Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood. Another is 'Truly She Is None Other' probably her most successful so far, it also featured the song 'Tell Me Now So I Know' which was picked for the main title theme for Jim Jarmushs movie starring Bill Murray 'Broken Flowers'. There's also a great compilation of all her singles and E.P's called Single's Round-Up. Her latest release is the mid-price sampler 'My First Holly Golightly Album' which is a great way to sample her songs, most of which feature in her live sets. Over the years Holly has been guest vocalist on various other bands projects, including live with Mudhoney, on a couple of Green Hornes releases and on a couple of Rocket From The Crypt tracks including their hit single 'Lipstick'. After playing several west coast shows with The White Stripes, and supporting them at their some of their London shows, Holly has become good friends with Jack and Meg, recording a duet with them at Toe Rag Studios called It's true that we love one another, for the final track on their classic album 'Elephant' Holly has recently recorded a duet with Mikabomb on the track 'Won't Go Out' (a Holly song) on their new album 'Hellcats' (Damgood 241).

Compilation of their last 4 singles and EPs for Damaged Goods, including We Love You, Beat Him Up and Girl About Town. Helen Love started life as a one off single around the Riot Grrl period in 1993, I had received a demo from Dave who was in Lovesick and it was great. It came out in late 93 and it sold pretty well but no press or anything followed, we decided to do another single which was 'Joey Ramoney', as soon as this was released we had a call from Everett True from the Melody Maker who wanted to do an interview. Mark Radcliffe started playing them on Radio 1 and it all started looking really good for the three girls from Swansea. Wat Tyler had wanted to do a xmas single that year so I asked Helen Love to come up with a Xmas track, Happiest time of the year arrived in the post and was duly released (just after xmas I think). By early 94 they had finished there third proper single 'Punk Boy'. It got great reviews and led onto an 'On' piece in the NME. It was later covered by Ash on their Fierce Panda single. Around this time Joey Ramone got in touch with the band saying how much he liked their stuff and inviting them to go over to the states to play at his club, very exciting times. Their next release was a 10" mini album 'Summer Pop, Punk Pop' with 6 tracks on it, this went straight in at No. 4 in the indie charts. A compilation of all their early singles was released soon after caller 'Radio Hits'. After that we did 4 more singles over the next two years and another singles compilation called Radio Hits 2 before they signed a worldwide deal with Che Records.

Twenty track CD compilation of rare and unreleased gems from The Revillos! archives including the original versions of their first two singles ‘Wheres The Boy For Me’ and ‘Motorbike Beat’ originally titled ‘Want Boy, Gimme Gimme’ and ‘Mr Beep Beep’ respectively fact fans! This compilation originally came out on Damaged Goods in 1996 and has been unavailable for ten years, re-issued along with two new Revillos albums, Compendium Of Weird and Live From the Orient. We're re-issuing this as a gatefold digipack CD with a great fold-out booklet containing loads of rare photos and extensive Rev-ealing facts from the band too. Formed out of the ashes of original Scottish punk band the Rezillos after they split in early 1979 they signed a deal with Virgin / Dindisc. They had a near hit and Top Of the Pops appearances with their second single 'Motorbike Beat' and released one album Rev Up before moving off to their own label two years later. Originally split up in 1986 after a dabble with major label-do via EMI, they have reformed over the years as both ReVillos and ReZillos and are touring as the latter in 2020. It’s a cracking comp…!

One of our favourite early releases and a rather overlooked classic album, a one off collaboration between Billy Childish and legendary Medway folkies The Singing Loins’ Originally released on the 1st April 1994 This was recorded in 1993 when Billy was in Thee Headcoats and The Singing Loins were in their first incarnation. The Singing Loins formed in late 1990, a two-piece band playing “Authentic raw folk from the Medway Delta”. They are Chris Broderick on Vocals / Stick and Chris ‘Arfur’ Allen on Guitar. They had recorded two classic albums before this both of which were released on Billy’s own Hangman records. The album features a few Childish classics reworked including ‘You Make Me Die’ and ‘Every Bit Of Me’ as well as 4 tracks written by Billy & The Loins especially for this album. Sadly Chris died in early 2022 but he said he wanted the remaining ‘Loins’ to carry on so there is a new E.P. and full length album as a tribute to Chris or the Loins and Billy Childish. SCRAG1
