*REPRESSED ON ECO MIX VINYL* “Mia Gargaret” is an ambient, (mostly) instrumental album by Chicago, IL singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist & producer Gia Margaret. It’s also not the follow-up she intended after the critical success of her 2018 debut, “There’s Always Glimmer”. But after she suddenly found herself without use of her primary instrument, she had to rethink her methods, at least temporarily. Gia explains: “After having to cancel tours because of illness, I was unable to sing for nearly half of the year. This left me feeling like a shell of myself, so I turned to my synthesizer for comfort. These compositions helped me hold onto my identity as a music maker. At times this music helped soothe my anxiety more than therapy or anything else could.” Documenting her self-healing and without singing or lyrics to steal the focus, the instrumental tracks on “Mia Gargaret” shine a light on Gia’s skills as a musician, composer & producer. Spare but immersive arrangements of synthesizer, piano & acoustic guitar simultaneously ache & soothe, building emotional landscapes that rise & recede like scenery through a train window. “Mia Gargaret” is a gorgeous experiment & a memorable meditation on the healing power of music.

Informed by the likes of Juliana Barwick, Stina Nordenstam and Linda Perhacs, this understated, self-produced record threads rich elements of folk, shoegaze and ambient electronics whilst retaining the exposed charm of her early bedroom recordings. This limited eco-mix pressing was first made available from her merch desk on her recent European tour and is now available from select record stores.

**LP features limited edition of 150 with three postcards of the band** Their eponymous debut album is a shimmering piece of summer pop, suffused with a sharp wit and attitude to move body and heart. 10 short, sharp, songs, a jangle of drums and guitars, woven beneath the glorious, chiming harmonies of singers Amelia and Lola. The band have more than delivered on the huge interest shown in their debut single, as Brighton’s finest purveyors of joyous, uplifting, pop, prepare for greater things. The only way is up. About Amelia & The Housewives: The band came together in 2024, and recorded five songs before playing any live shows. John Kennedy played all five and has championed the band he calls, “Brighton’s best kept secret”. Simon from Fierce Panda offered them their first show in late 2024. The day after the show, Ian from Damaged Goods offered them a single deal for Maybe, which was released as a 7” in 2025. The Brighton-based take fun seriously, blending girl-group harmonies, jangling indie-pop, garage-rock energy and a love of classic pop melodies, they’ve quickly built a reputation for infectious live shows, sharp songwriting and irresistible choruses. Emerging from Brighton’s thriving DIY scene they immediately caught the attention of tastemakers, radio DJs and music writers. “Maybe” introduced a sound that feels equally inspired by 1960s pop, punk attitude and modern indie charm. Their growing reputation has been fuelled by enthusiastic support from broadcasters. Two of the band's songs have since been selected for the BBCs Fresh Faves. In 2026 they recorded another batch of songs and played some more shows. A number of small independent labels offered them an album deal, the band decided to go with Giles from INH as they felt they had a shared ethos and they liked his hair. There’s a rumour Paul McCartney turned up to one of their shows, danced to a song, winked at Tim and left before they went into their cover of Step Inside Love – but the band refuse to either confirm or deny this rumour. Always rapturously received live, they are playing the Wake Festival in August.
