the silver lion's 20/20 holds a compelling and rich musical resume with a corresponding job-work history: consider, both chet weise and craig "sweet dawg" pickering were asked to leave their southern punk bands the quadrajets and dexateens respectively. in fact, between the two musicians, they are x-members of the immortal lee county killers, paul wine jones, t-model ford, insect syren, engine house, bush pilots, and the effect. for job experience, chet has been employed by brand x pizza, tiger package liquor store, and as an economics instructor by the auburn university economics department. chet is now independently wealthy (that means loaded) and lives in nashville, tennessee. craig has been employed by hertz rent-a-car, the us marines (where he earned several medals for combat and conduct), and is currently a landscape artist in tuscaloosa, alabama. their first single features an original a-side entitled "black clouds a risin'" which follows in the age old tradition of thievery employed by all the great blues players; check out fred mcdowell's song with the similar title. the b-side features the lion's version of dr. ross's "cat squirrel blues." for cover art, tim kerr of the big boys, monkeywrench, poison 13, total sound group direct action committee, and bricks with wings pulled out his paints and cardboard. tim's artwork has spread all over from his garage, to art-spaces, to diy music-places, and to museums. and some of you know this whole damn thing is a young lion's conspiracy. super limited 7" only release (none of that digital doolally ...yet anyway) we are getting 200 of the 500 pressing. chetley dale weise: guitar/vox craig pickering: drum set.
