Her voice has that alluring mix of vulnerability and resilience that was once the province of Loretta and Dolly. It is a tour-de-force performance that is vivid, deeply moving and all true. The exclusive non album B-side “Desperate and Depressed” was recorded live in Third Man Records’ infamous Blue Room, and features classic country staples such as slide guitar and whiskey driven sadness.
